flightoficarus (Metal Trenches)
Killer mathcore worthy of the 2018 IndexFest. It's a little progressive, a little experimental, and worthy of attention. I also highly recommend you check out both that and previous single "Trajegy In The Marquee."
- MetalTrenches.comFavorite track: Porky.

If someone told me a couple years ago that there was going to be a band equally willing to mix avant influenced melodies and oddball beauty with an aggressiveness/abrasive attitude that rivaled the best mathcore bands I would have told you off. This shit rips.
Kiho Yutaka - Violins
Logan DeFranco - Vocals
Siddhu Anandalingham - Guitars, Clarinet
Jason Kohler - Guitars
Andrew Davis - Bass
Seth Botos - Drums
Lyrics:
Porky
Might have been the ottoman I,
never expected this causing all the sites to cease.
Breaking my only silence now causing avalanches beneath my feet.
waiting here with you is like palms right in the flames,
hear my voice augmented and distorted.
touch touch touch my heart like you mean it baby,
tear it out baby I know you will.
glazing over this bacon
You won’t be saved from all their nonsense,
you won’t be saved you fucking omnivore.
Making sure we’re clean free and so tasty
Gay Gardenz
Come on it’s just like bending
come on it’s just like breaking
come on it’s just us
come on it’s just like bending
we cant straddle the line
Come on it’s just like bending
come on it’s just like breaking
come on it’s just us
come on it’s just like bending
Bending now you’ve broken
you’ve broken
chuckle at the thought of a broken one
it feels like I’m living a lie repeating this paradigm feels like I’m living a lie
it’s like having a light inside riding the edge arriving right
it’s like having a lion side riding the edge arriving right
Breathing, choking, bleeding, knowing, choking, choking
Crashing your car into the light,
crashing your mind just on the side
Tutti Frutti
Coal to Diamond stuffed in Lucie‘s eyes now,
coal to Diamond stuffed in Lucie‘s mind how?
turning over these stones the rabbit hole leads home
Made the suffrage, touch compartmentalized turn the pain up
rip the nerve from the hive.
I feel the strain and press upon it to die
Made the suffrage, touch compartmentalized turn the pain up
rip the nerve from the root hive.
I feel the strain and press upon it to die
And all this time
Writhing sliding abiding by,
writhing sliding abiding by what?
Nothing to stop us nothing to save us nothing but maybe hearts made for bleeding, nothing to stop us nothing to save us God in our hearts and the demons beneath us
Pressure synapse give me take back layers of stains in the palms of my hands
See me
Breathe me
Can’t see can’t breathe in,
touch me sweet angels please take me far away
Come with me towards the light, stay with me be my night
Nothing to stop us nothing save us nothing but maybe hearts made for bleeding
Come with me towards the light, stay with me be my night
Nothing to stop us nothing to save us nothing with maybe hearts made for bleeding
Oktokween
In raptures elated force-fed beauty to behold,
soliloquy reveals its parasitic features
in raptures elated the dream scene is fading,
soliloquy reveals her parasitic features
Do I walk back towards that void?
We constantly kick causing internal entropy
In raptures elated force-fed beauty to behold,
soliloquy reveals its parasitic features
in raptures elated the dream scene is fading,
soliloquy reveals her parasitic features
Do I walk back towards that void?
Spewing fallout jousting my mind,
each of her footfalls hits my ear approach and encroach,
then recede feeble fear holding me back in the moment when I lost you oktokween once ideal now I can’t tell if you’re real,
in the moment when I lost you oktokween
Are you fucking happy queen?

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
